MLB: Toronto at Baltimore, suspended, rain
BALTIMORE, July 23 (UPI) -- Persistent rains Wednesday forced a suspension of the game between Toronto and Baltimore with the Blue Jays holding a 2-1, sixth-inning lead.
The game will resume Thursday, after which the teams will play their regularly scheduled contest -- the last of a four-game series.
Toronto took a 2-1 lead in the sixth when Lyle Overbay singled in Alex Rios. Overbay was on first base with two outs when the rains forced a delay. The umpires waited 90 minutes before deciding to suspend the contest.
